Restoration of 1977
42' Grand Banks
Careful attention to detail was spent resurrecting this 1977 Grand Banks, which we found heading from Charleston to Puerto Rico in 1999. This restoration demonstrates the scope of services offered at Fairview Marina.
The teak decks were removed. We made custom fiberglass decks and hatches. We replaced old hardware with new custom stainless steel handrails and windshields. We built a gorgeous custom teak bow pulpit. We worked and varnished the original teak transom. A beautiful bimini top was installed by Chris Ford. The entire interior was refinished, including new headliners, refinished cabin sole, a custom galley table, and much more.

Rudder Rebuild
Here is an example of a fiberglass repair performed at Farview Marina.
We hauled this sailboat out for winter storage and the bottom is inspected. This is how we operate our haul-out services - to always inspect the bottom.
In this case, the rudder had delaminated and was full of water. The office immediately contacted the customer to notify him of the problem.
Instead of ordering a new rudder, we peeled, re-cored, and re-laminated the existing rudder.
